Golf lessons by a trained professional can enhance your game immeasurably. Trained golf instructors have insight into what works and what doesn't more than a common golfer. Even a seasoned golfer with an average in the low 80's (which is an outstanding average) has room for improvement.

The average handicap for a beginner is probably above 30. (100+) If you are new to golfing and you score in the 90s, you are doing better than most beginners. In this case you should take advantage of your natural ability and take lessons to improve your game, especially before forming habits that hinder your performance.

An intermediate golfer is scoring between 85-100, consistently. of course, this means they are a decent player and have spent time on the course so they must enjoy playing. Golf lessons will improve your game so you can become an advanced player.

A more seasoned golfer should be in the advanced range. If you have a lot of experience on the course and are not scoring 85- 70 on a consistent basis, you can definitely use lessons. You are probably unaware of bad habits you've picked up that impede your swing, drive, and putt.

As a beginner, the first step is to see what your "natural" skill level is. Some people are born with more athletic ability than others, so taking an assessment of where you are at is the first step. Addressing irons and which ball is best is coupled with this process.

Yes! There are always rules, some for the game that are staple and other rules for individual golf clubs. Please see my page on "Golf Etiquette."

Yes! We can assess your ROM (range of motion) and determine what your capabilities are. Most people have some degree of golf they can play without risk of other injuries.
